Here at Zen Hair, we're passionate about empowering stylists to elevate their skills and create show-stopping looks using extensions. That is no more important than for a bride on her wedding day! That's why on Sunday 17th March, we were thrilled to host our first Bridal Extensions Training Course at the Jet Academy in Basildon.
This exciting one-day course welcomed 10 eager students, ready to delve into the world of bridal hair. Led by Zen's expert Bridal Hair Trainers, Sheree Tomić and Laura McPhee, the day was a vibrant mix of presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practicals.
Knowledge is Power: Setting the Stage for Success
The course kicked off with a comprehensive presentation delivered by Sheree and Laura. They delved deep into the various types of bridal styles available, exploring their pros and cons to help students choose the perfect option for each client. The presentation also covered crucial consultation techniques, ensuring stylists can understand client needs and create a customised plan for their dream wedding hairstyle.
But knowledge goes beyond just extensions. Sheree and Laura also emphasised the importance of colour matching and seamlessly integrating extensions with natural hair to achieve a flawless, natural look. This vital information equipped students with the confidence to tackle any bridal hair challenge with finesse.
From Demonstration to Mastery: Hands-on Learning Takes Center Stage
Following the insightful presentation, it was time for the exciting hands-on segment. Under the watchful eyes of Sheree and Laura, the students embarked on a practical journey, working on NXS Beauty training heads. The trainers expertly guided the students through various different braids and styles including, a ruched mermaid braid, a glam wave pony, a rope twist half up and a chic infinity bun. Throughout the practical session, the trainers offered personalised guidance and support, addressing individual questions and troubleshooting any concerns.
Celebrating Success: A Day of Learning and Achievement
The day culminated in a sense of group sense of accomplishment, as all ten students successfully completed the course and received their well-deserved Zen Bridal Extensions certificates. Kelly Sainty, Zen's Event's Manager said, "We at Zen Hair take immense pride in witnessing this growth in our students' skillsets. This newfound bridal expertise will empower them to cater to the specific needs of brides-to-be, crafting stunning and long-lasting bridal hairstyles that enhance their natural beauty on their special day."
