On Monday 15th May, Zen Hair was delighted to be one of the Brand Partners at the launch of the Hair Evolve Event at the Jet Hairdressing Academy in Basildon, Essex.
Hair Evolve is the new event for hair professionals and students from all over Essex, to inspire, educate and network with each other plus all profits from the event going to the Hair & Beauty Charity.
This event attracted 80 delegates from colleges, academies and hair salons who came to see a presentation from Ben Brown of Ben Brown Hair. Ben’s presentation included hair cutting and styling tips plus he gave insight of how he started off as salon owner and the associated struggles and jubilations of what that entails. Plus he explained how he got to what he’s doing now , training all over the world and selling his courses internationally.
Also on stage was social media guru Si Walker, who presented her social media live seminar on how to generate ‘engaging’ and ‘captivating’ social media posts from the salon. She also spoke about overcoming fears and constraints by the user including hot tips on how to make posts interesting and examples of do’s and dont’s and how the social media algorithms work and what type of posts are picked up and shared.
The delegates were also treated to a model runway and photoshoot presentation from the Jet Art Team. This was a collection of avant garde and contemporary styling by the team who had previously spent the afternoon with Ben Brown getting more tips and advice.
